the map is not the territory
What's it like? It's like Burning Man for Democrats, without the nudity or the drugs. Everyone is walking around grinning like they've just had their first threesome. I can't even imagine what it's going to look like on Thursday, but I am starting to get just a little nervous.

I'm sure by the time all of this is done, our dear Wonkette will find out all the sex that is, in fact, going on behind the scenes ;)
I've been a delegate to two state Democratic conventions and I have felt as you say. There is just so much hope, so much commitment to civil rights, equal rights and human rights that one could burst! At our Florida convention last December we had Kerry,Edwards, Dean, Clark,Gephardt and Kucinich. Although I was a Kucinich delegate I felt that they all represented democracy over greed, truth over lies, peace over made-up war.
Hee. Next time I go to a mad party, I'll have to tell people, "Hey, you're walking around like you're Democratic delegates."
BTW, you're doing a great job. Stay fed and hydrated.
You know what the next step is, right? We need bloggers on the bus - following Kerry/Edwards around after the convention. Any chance you might quit your day job and go? You're the only one I trust! Seriously - are any bloggers going to be on the campaign trail?
Well, I say it's about time we get a canidate that is dedicated to putting the drugs and nudity back in the DNC.
All I can say is I am a 46 yr old white male and Al Sharpton made me cry like a baby......
I read your "threesome" comment in the Miami Herald and I thought it was great! How it got past the editor, I don't know (and I don't care!) Keep up the good work!
