Blogs, wikis, IM, RSS are all buzz words that have entered the library sphere, but what does it really mean to engage in social software? Join acclaimed technology librarian, Jessamyn West, and learn about what can happen when the library meets the patron, OR when a patron meets patrons, in the online world. This program will also take a look at the challenges of introducing social software in a library setting and include the topics of patron privacy and motivating staff to learn new technology.
