A rockhound friend has 4 or 5 card catalogues that he uses to store various rocks! It works great. He has thousands of small rocks and the card catalogs help him keep them organized.

My card catalogue is old and beat up and not pretty. Right now, I’m using it to store toothbrushes, razors, and shaving cream.

But there still are some old cards in one of the drawers and I kept the original labels if they were there. I really need to work on fixing it up though.

I too am a fan of kitties and booze…on/in the card catalog! I use mine to store/organize knitting needles. It’s only a small section though, I don’t own THAT many knitting needles. I wish I had a bigger one to store the yarn in, but I don’t know how practical that would actually be!

My two favorites: putting a cat on it and putting booze inside it.
