Beverly Cleary is turning 90. Her publisher, Harper Collins, is declaring her birthday Drop Everything and Read Day. More information is on the ALA’s Association for Library Services to Children division’s page. They are just one of the many project partners. [rcb]

    Sounds cool, but it’s the day before Passover.

    All Jews will be preparing for the seder.

    As mom of a Henry living on Klickitat Street, I’m glad to see this. Every so often I wonder about Beverly Cleary, famous alumna of the University of Washington library school. Thanks!
